I survived my first sleeper bus! And it wasn’t actually all that bad. Though I’m not sure the locals fully understand the meaning of ‘sleeper’ as they tend to shout until around 12o clock, and of course the bus driver still honks his horn… I have never been happier for the invention of ear plugs.

There are three rows of beds on the bus, all of which are similar to bunk beds as there is a top and bottom bunk. The problem with the beds is they are quite thin, so it is best to lie flat or you may fall off when the bus flies over a bump (which happens a lot when you drive along dirt track roads) and they are not made for tall people so it’s a bit of a squeeze.

As the sun started to rise I realised with had passed into beautiful mountainous surroundings, with many green fields spread into the distance. As it is Sunday I was amazed to see so many people up and working on building sites at 5am, and many more on the streets.

Now to explore the National Park 🙂
